i have been working as a background layout artist in the animation industry since 2002 on both a freelance and in-studio basis. i have worked on several productions of late, including ugly americans (comedy central), kick buttowski: suburban daredevil (disney xd), arthur (wgbh boston/pbs) and dex hamilton: alien entomologist (cbc).
the majority of the work that i do for the industry is completed in either macromedia or adobe flash, but i have worked extensively with adobe illustrator and autodesk sketchbook pro, among other software. on that note, i have done a lot of work the old fashioned way (pencil and paper, i mean), but made the leap to digital several years ago with the purchase of my first cintiq. it's nice to see that the technology is finally catching up with the craft...
